Text Messaging
Text Messages are always free to receive! You can send and receive Text Messages to anyone on any major wireless network in Canada, the U.S., and most of Mexico (including most tourist destinations on both coasts). Text Messaging is $0.20 per message sent per recipient.

If you are going on a holiday, International Text Messages are a perfect and inexpensive way to stay in touch with friends and family. International Text Messages are $0.25 per message sent per recipient, and apply to Text Messages that are sent outside of Canada, the U.S. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), and most of Mexico.

If you don't subscribe to Mobile Web, you can still download ring tones, games, and more. Browsing the MTS download stores (BREW, Get Stuff, and Much/MTV) is free. However, if you do not subscribe to the Mobile Web and you make a purchase, you will be charged an additional $0.50 download fee.

Call Display
Always see who's calling. To add Call Display to your account, call #TALK (#8255) from your Evolve phone and choose the option in the menu.
Call Waiting** - Never miss a call while on the phone.
Conference Calling** - Talk to two people at the same time when you have to, or just because you can.
Voice Mail - Lets others leave you a message when you're busy, your phone is off, or you just don't want to answer! To add Voice Mail to your account, call #TALK (#8255) from your Evolve phone and choose the option in the menu. To access your Voice Mail just call *97 from your prepaid phone.
International Calling - Call family and friends all over the world right from your Evolve phone.

Directory Assistance
Directory Assistance is an automated phone service that retrieves phone numbers from our directory listing. Simply dial 411 to use this service. It is available to all Evolve customers for $1.75 per call.

Emergency Services Enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) & Message Relay Service
The E9-1-1 feature provides you with access to emergency services from your prepaid cellular phone. MTS provides the dedicated network for 9-1-1. This includes the technology required to route a 9-1-1 call to the correct central answering center with the information about the caller, including their cellular number and the location of the nearest cellular tower, provided the caller is in a 9-1-1 service area. This information would then be forwarded to the correct emergency response agency. With E9-1-1 services, Emergency operators are also able to view your prepaid cellular number should a call to 9-1-1 be disconnected when in a 9-1-1 serving area.

If you ever have to call 9-1-1 from your cell phone, please remember the following:

The operator may not know your cell number or location, so please provide both;
Stay on the line with the operator - you are not being billed for airtime on 9-1-1 calls;
Don't hang up until told to do so and leave your phone on in case the operator needs to call you back, and;
Don't pre-program 9-1-1 on your cell phone.
Message Relay Service allows specific conversations to take place using a keypad and an operator.

Each month 50¢ will be deducted from your prepaid cellular account for these features. If you don't have 50¢ in your account, the amount available will be deducted. If your account happens to be in a negative balance the charge will not be deducted.
