Tower Inspections
Starlite Communications recommends that a structural inspection be done annually and/or after any severe weather. Below are lists of what is included in a standard inspection for various types of towers.
Guyed Tower Inspection:
Visual inspection from the ground prior to climbingany safety concerns or hazards prior to proceedinginspection of guy anchors (no digging)readings from guy wiresof tower plumb with transit or Theadoliteinspection of FAA lighting for proper functionoperation of photo cell switch10% of hardware for tightnessweep holes if applicableinspection of safety climb if applicableinspection of antennas and transmission linesinspection of overall condition of the tower noting any potential problemsinspection of paint condition if applicableinspection of overall site condition
Self Supporting Tower Inspection:
